Seven (More) dining Rooms as Libraries
Almost five years ago I did this post on dining rooms as libraries, and that combo is still one of my favorites. I know a lot of you love them too. A reader named Lori left this comment on that post:
When I was single, my book shelves were in my dining area. My friends told me it felt like being in a cool coffee shop that also sold used books.
Don’t you love that? Here are seven (more) dining rooms doing double duty as libraries.

Fun fact: this is Ina Garten’s dining room from 1994.

Elle’s dining room library is insta-famous.
P.S. I’m saving more dining room/library inspiration on this Pinterest board.

I love these rooms. My dining room was formerly a living room, and I ended up placing two chairs in there, one near a fireplace. There is a bookcase, and even though right now I use it for seasonal decor, I know at some point I will use it for books. It was a unique solution for awkward placement of existing furniture I owned when we moved into this cottage home, one my realtor suggested and I just love.
Thanks for sharing your board.
That sounds like a wonderful solution, Rita!
I don’t see the recipe link or the PJ link? Did I miss it?
My apologies, Nanci! I linked to the wrong post in the email. You can see it here: https://thisbookishlife.com/eating-reading-wearing/
